Social Networking, Cloud Computing, Smartphones and Tablets will Take Center Stage in 2013, says Global Digital Forensics Founder

New York, NY (PRWEB) December 18, 2012

To stay on top in the computer forensics game, the quality which must be embraced above all others is adaptability to constant change. Every day there are new computers and devices, new applications, new fads and new offerings, and as technology continues to encroach on almost every aspect of doing business today, staying on top of the newest trends and technologies is essential for any professionals who will be relied on to save the day when problems and/or questions lie in the digital world. Global Digital Forensics founder and CEO/CTO has lived on that cutting edge of the cyber world for over two decades and is once again getting Global Digital Forensics geared up for the challenges and technologies he expects will crowd more into the spotlight in 2013 and answers some questions to share some of his insight on what he believes clients can expect and how GDF will be positioned to respond.

How will computer forensics change in 2013?

Whether the issue is cyber security, or digital evidence involved in a legal matter, if the answers are in the data it all comes back to computer forensics. But the game is getting more complex by the year. The scope of engagements which were once confined to a few PCs, laptops and maybe an internal network, have really exploded with all of the shared technologies now in the picture. Cloud computing is a force, reliance on mobile devices is continuing to surge, social networking has gained strength exponentially and our dependence on all of it has never been higher. And those forces all converge on every front, from cyber intrusions and data breaches, to finding the smoking gun evidence that will make or break a legal case. If you dont have a firm grasp on every one of these areas and more, its not a recipe for success, its a recipe for costly disasters.

What trend will be the biggest game changer?

The explosion in businesses embracing a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) mentality to increase connectivity and production is one of the biggest things really changing the landscape. Couple that with increased use and reliance on social networking, and the lines have never been more blurred between work and play. Mix in cloud computing with all its geo-divergent data repositories, shared resources and applications, and that means a whole slew of new vectors to consider, from increased vulnerability to cyber threats, to the potential for a vast geographic landscape and a plethora of systems and devices to be in play when electronic discovery (eDiscovery) for a legal matter, and all the precision and defensibility it entails, stand between ultimate success and failure.

How will Global Digital Forensics stay ahead of the curve?

As weve always done, by listening to clients, observing trends and keeping up with all the latest technologies. Ive been at this a long time, from dual-floppy PCs, to smartphones with the computing power of a circa 1990s military supercomputer, making every transition along the way to stay in front of the newest technologies. Thats what it takes to excel in the competitive world of computer forensics and its we demand of our specialists at GDF. I’ve watched countless computer forensics companies try and fail along the way, and more often than not its because they find themselves stagnating in a fluid industry with a business model they found initially successful, but soon find that only concentrating on yesterday and now will only get you so far in the constantly evolving world of digital information. We know keeping a full half of our focus on tomorrow is the only way we will be able to meet our clients requirements at a level they need, deserve and expect to receive when they have problems that revolve around ESI (Electronically stored Information) , problems which are often very sensitive in nature.

Charging of ego’s questions – by: Constantine

I appaulogize now for bad typo’s, grammar and rambling. I was up all through the night making a new beat and then re-encoding it for youtube :D

I am sure this question has been asked a few million times over, and yes i am going to have ask it again seeing as when it comes to math i am horrible at it (lets hear it for dropping out of math in grade 6 and refusing to do it thinking you would never need it again in life).

It would appear that the usb cord for the ego vv passthroughs are not shoe proof, and when you step on them, they tend to break. I have contacted LJ’s E-smoke to see if they know what the connection port is for the ego, but they said they were not sure, and seeing as where i live here in Canada the care taker is….well lets say less then honorable when it comes to deliver the mail, so i needed to get myself a ego charger (input: 5V 5mAh). This is where the fun starts it seems.

I have tried charging the vv passthough via usb ports and something like five hours later i am still waiting for it to finish charging (with three hour use time on 3.8V to 4.0V and a LR cart….uh no). I plugged it into a 5V 5mA (or 0.5A) charger, and this takes about four hours to chage and three hour use time (still between 3.8V to 4.0V and LR cart). Which is frustrating me as when i charged it via the usb port on the bottom it lasted so much longer…

I am curious if i use my old blackberry wall wart which states it is 5V 750mAh, would it still be ok to charge up the ego vv pass through? I mean with the ego charger style to charge it from the top obviously i cannot use it at the same time. The reason for all this as i am contimplainting using the same wall wart for my redds key cig (a 808 style pv with a regulated 3.6V and about 5+ hours use to be released in the states end of December or start of January i believe).

In the meantime i am going to go to the source (aka: radio shack in the states) to see if they can tell me what type of end the passthrough has and if (praying) they have a replacememnt cable, i thought it was the same size as my blackberry play book or kindle but i was wrong their plugs are too large

What are problems with ecig smoking?

Question by Big John Horton: What are problems with ecig smoking?
I just converted to the ecigs but after I charge for a day the battery only lasts like 2 hours which is bad because this only defeats its purpose.

Do I have a badd battery or something ?

Best answer:

Answer by Kate
Small batteries don’t last very long and the smaller the less well they work. Marketing hype is usually misleading too, it’s common for claims to be made about battery and cartridge life that don’t translate to real life use.

The latest bigger battery ecigs do work a lot better than the toy type ones. It’s best to do a bit of research before buying, independent vaper forums are good for that.

Also, price does not reflect quality, you can get the best ones for under $ 90.

Been looking for low cost PV mod and Genesis tank system

I am unfortunately unemployed these days so I really need to keep my costs down. Therefore I have been doing a lot of research on the Genesis tank system in order to find the lowest cost, and I found I also need a new PV since my ego twists are not recommended for use with a Genesis. I "think" I have found the absolute lowest price point on both items. In fact, I’m having a hard time believing this is for real at this price. Can some of you experienced vapers take a look at these two items and give me your opinions? I would much appreciate any advice.
