Nuclear Vapes Flash Sale & Lost Art [Giveaway]!

Hey guys!

Before I headed out to San Diego Comic Con last month, I promised we'd do another giveaway, and I am a woman of my word! Sorry for the delay, but, as usual, I came down with the "Con Crud" upon return home!!!! (For those of you unfamiliar with said affliction, it's this nasty, gross cold-type illness that one ends up with after being crammed in a convention hall with 150,000 others. No amount of hand washing, Wet Wipes, and hand sanitizer will keep it at bay!)

ANYWAY, I'm recovered. The kid is happy with all the swag I brought her (Louise Belcher Bunny Ears acquired!), my friend's booth was packed all weekend, and I had some fantastic dinners with friends, old and new! So I have some goodies for you!

We have recently brought some of the LOST ART line back in to the shop; the Slotter Pops line and the new Strawberry Strike (made with Tobacco Free Nicotine). The folks at LA hooked us up, and we wanted to pass along some of the love to ECR.

I've got 120ml bottles (3mg) of O.G.B., GRAPE WHITE and SLOTTER POP. I also have a 5-pack of the ORIGINAL LA line up in 0mg: Mystery Flavor, Cottontail Cream, Gummy Glu, Space Rockz, and Unicorn Puke.

So that's 4 winners who will receive 120-150ml of Lost Art liquid in either 0mg or 3mg. To enter, let me know if you made it to SDCC this year! If you did, what was the coolest thing you saw. If you didn't, what movie/show/comic/toy do you most want to see! Contest open to entries 18+ (or minimum age in your state! Sorry, AR and UT, we still can't ship to you guys!) NO giveaway accounts, please! Closes to new entries on Sunday, 8/13 at 9pm EDT. Winners will be randomly selected on Monday, 8/14 around 2 pm EDT! GOOD LUCK!

It's also been a bit since we've run a sale for you guys, so from now thru Sunday at midnight EDT, all REACTOR ROOM FLAVORS are 40% off! Just enter code ConCrud17 (ewwwww!) at checkout! All orders over $50 ship free! And code REDDIT10 always saves you 10% on your orders! (Codes cannot be combined, however!)

Thanks for all your support guys! Yesterday was our Cake Day, and we're happy to have been a part of this community for the last 2 years!

My Kaos Spectrum mod somehow turned itself on and "held down the fire button" while in the other room

About a month and a half ago, my 2 month old Smok Alien 220w mod had some kind of electrical short or something while using it. I was wondering why I wasn't pulling any vape and then the smell of burning plastic hit me. I looked at it, and I saw smoke coming out of the charger port (that I never used). I immediately threw it into a field next to the dog park I was at. A vision of the news stories where mods blow up in people's faces flashed and I reacted.

Anyway, that day I went to a B&M store (more expensive, but I needed a replacement) and got a Kaos Spectrum mod. I just used the Smok Baby Beast tank that came with my Alien. Everything went just fine for a while. Until last night.

I was watching Netflix in the living room with my roommate when I had to go pee. As soon as I entered my bedroom, I smelled my vape (Sammie by Centerfold Vape Co. if you're wondering) and heard the crackling. The mod was on my TV stand standing upright with the air flow vents about a third of the way open.

When I picked it up, it was HOT. I probably shouldn't have picked it up in hindsight, but I needed it off asap. I quickly opened the battery door and let the batteries hit the floor. I looked at them to check for damage, and they are perfectly fine.

I went to my bathroom to grab a towel to try to take off the tank to see if the 510 pin (my terminology is probably way off) on the mod looked funky. When I twisted the tank to take it off, the mouthpiece tore off. It was so hot it melted the plastic. RIP Baby Beast.

Anyway, after these two incidents, I'm very concerned about my safety vaping. It's stupid because I know they're normally fine, but still. I take care of them. I never dropped either of them on hard surfaces. The only damage to either was light scratches caused by keys, bottlecaps, etc. I put in my pocket with them without thinking.

Has anyone had this happen before?

ManBeaReviews: Smoant Battlestar RTA – Flavor BANG for your buck!

As a preface, I was sent the Battlestar RTA directly from Smoant for the purpose of this review.

Synopsis and features:

  • Size: 24.5mm (Diameters) *34mm (Height)
  • Capacity:3.5ML
  • Top Filling
  • 17.5mm big velocity deck
  • 304SS + Quartz Glass tube + PEEK insulator
  • Easy to Clean, all components can be disassembled
  • Adjustable Airflow Control system
  • Available in: Yellow,Black,Stainless Steel,Copper,Tarnish, Gold

I'm not quite sure why we all go over the box when doing a review, but alas, the Battlestar does come in a box. It shows the available finishes, close up of the chimney engraving, and has the authenticity code scratch-off. Packaging looks good and is enticing.

Comes with extra glass, screws, O-Rings, guide, and QC card. I was somewhat disappointed that it only came with black O-Rings, as sometimes I like to rock the contrast color rings. The QC card is always nice to see that someone at least took the time to check it over.

Parts & Disassembly

The Battlestar RTA is a pretty standard list of parts. Deck connected to AFC, glass, top chimney, and drip tip/top fill cover. Everything threaded together/apart very well and saw no signs of residual residue or oils. Nice and clean right out of the box. The engravings/etchings on the chimney feature a skull-guy and then the Smoant logo 180 degrees apart. They're faint, but noticeable with the right <a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice and lighting.

Build & Wick

For my build, I decided to go with dual 316 SS Claptons to 0.20ohms. The velocity deck makes it a breeze to assemble, and the big airflow slots are very easy to properly position your coils. Note: no single coil option is available.

Wicking is a bit different than it seems. Given the deck is raised off the bottom of the tank, it makes the Battlestar more like a GTA almost. My first wicking, I Barely brought the cotton below the deck and fluffed it to fill the opening. This was a little too-light on cotton. It worked, but I'd get a slight leak after filling.

Second time around, I brought my cotton all the way to the bottom of the deck and filled the <a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice channels much more densely. This proved to be the sweet spot and does not leak but does not produce any dry hits either (not that it would in TC anyways).

So, all I can say is that this Smoant product exceeded my expectations once again. While it is not the most decorative, ornate RTA out there, the performance is really there. THe flavor from the raised deck and right build is really tremendous. Vapor production is solid. Filling is a breeze.

  • Amazing flavor from the raised deck
  • Compact size
  • Average capacity for its' size
  • Easy to build coils
  • Good machining and overall quality

  • Wicking can be tricky at first
  • Does require frequent filling (not that big, but you know)
  • No contrast-color O-Rings

Horny juices burning coils?

Hi guys,

I'm not sure if this is something I'm doing wrong or something with the horny line of <a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juices, but these <a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juices seem to absolutely destroy my coils.

I'm cleaning/rewicking once every day. The coils are lasting 2 days max. Running dual fused Clapton's @ 0.14 ohms, 130 watts.

Here is a pic of what they look like after 1 day of use – I rewicked these yesterday lunchtime. Ninja edit: For some reason the pic didn't upload. I'll upload another when my coils get dirty again (I've just rewicked) For reference my cotton & coils were completely black/dark brown.

Anything I can do to remedy this? More/less cotton, anything like that? I always add more <a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice before my coils dry out too.

Battery short circuit danger, I recommend not using your HCigar VT75C…at all

I posted earlier (now deleted) about HCigar's warning not to use 26650's that were "too long", i.e., ones they didn't bother to test the device with. I recommended only using shorter 26650's and mentioned a few that I measured as being shorter than most.

I've thought about it some more and have decided that I must recommend not using this device at all.

Using a 26650 that is "too long" can lead to a short-circuiting of the battery, possibly causing it to burst. This is an unacceptable design flaw followed by completely inadequate testing by HCigar. What kind of company doesn't try out a variety of 26650's when creating a 26650 mod?

Here's HCigar's statement regarding this problem:

Some posts and a video about this problem, posted to my previous FB thread…

From Milen Cholaski:

From Milen Cholaski:

Not knowing what length any 26650 could be, and the possibly very serious consequences of this mod's defect, has led me to recommend not using this mod at all and speaking to HCigar about your options.

If you do decide to use it I strongly recommend only using 18650's, very carefully.

I realize that many of you have had no problems using 26650's in this device. But the risk remains and I must stand by my recommendation. Each person can make their own decision regarding this risk and I fully respect their decision.

Key Factors That Can Affect Your DIY Vape Juices

Making diy e-<a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juices is not only an
ideal way to save money on <a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>vape <a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juices, but it is
also a great way to experiment with different mixes of flavors. However, making
diy e-<a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juices is not always instantly rewarding. Sometimes, you must try time
and again until you find your right flavor mix and the proper strength.
However, there are a few factors, which when considered, can help you arrive at
you perfect diy e-<a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice faster. Here are the key factors to consider when
making a diy e-<a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice.

E-<a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice Factor #1: Diluent

The diluent is the first factor to
be considered when you are making you vape <a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juices at home. The diluent is the
base on which your <a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice is made and is responsible for bringing out the flavor
and ensuring that it stays longer without going bad. Basically, there are two
major bases- Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerin (VG). These two bases
have different properties and depending on the ratio used, an e-liquid will
have varying characteristics. Vegetable Glycerin being thick and having a
sweeter taste is fitting when you are making <a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice that will produce thick
clouds and have a sweeter taste. Conversely, a higher PG ratio should be used
where you are making an <a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice for a stronger throat hit and a pronounced
flavor. Besides, PG is light, odorless and tasteless, hence will not affect the
taste of your e-<a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice.

E-<a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice Factor #2: Nicotine Concentration

Another key factor to consider in
making diy e-<a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice is the nicotine concentration. Nicotine is one of the key
ingredients that determine the level of throat hit. Therefore, you cannot
afford to overdo or underdo it. The recommended level of nicotine concentration
is 0mg to 24mg. You can choose your nicotine concentration depending on your
sweet spot. For example, if you were a heavy smoker, you might need up to 24mg.
However, if you were a mild smoker, 0 to 6mgs will do it for you.

E-<a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice Factor #3: Device Being Used

The device which you will
be using
is also a key factor to consider when you are making your e-<a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice.
Just how powerful is your device? For instances, are you using a simple electronic
cigarette or are you using a technologically-advanced mod? Whatever device you
will be using will help you determine the ingredients of your diy e-<a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice. If
you are using an e-cigarette, using a high level of VG might not be
appropriate. Besides, VG requires a lot of power to vaporize and power drawn
from a basic e-cig might not be enough. Also, with different ingredients having
different boiling points, it is important that you have a device that has
maximum temperatures required to vaporize your <a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice, depending on the
ingredients used. Hence, a mod would be an ideal option for that.

E-<a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice Factor #4: Flavoring

When making diy e-<a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice, it is
necessary that you consider the flavor being used. You will find all kinds of
imaginable flavors available in the market. However, it is advisable that you
buy a small amount of each flavor. Perhaps 10ml for each flavor, because these
flavors don’t always taste like you expect. Therefore, save money by getting a
small amount and when you find out that it is the flavor that meets your vaping
needs, you can go ahead and buy it in bulk.

Making diy e-<a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice can be fun as
well as a learning experience. With experimentation and patience, you will soon
find your sweet spot and you will not have to think of diy e-<a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice making as a
struggle. So long as you know the flavor you want to taste and smell in your <a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice,
consider the device being used, and select the ingredients appropriately, all depending
on your vaping preferences of course, then you should be set for an enjoyable diy
e-<a href="<a href="”>eliquid_c_7.html”>juice making experience.

Giving away my B-X e-juice

1.5 mg nic max vg

Hey I ordered 120 of Dad's Milk and Mom's Milk from B-X thinking id like them as much as watermelon crack. I was wrong, they taste only ok to me after steeping and kills my coils quick.

Anyways I hate to be wasteful with a good product so i'll send you both bottles on my dime IF you know you like em.

The Dad's Milk is opened (at least 100mls left) because I hadn't tried it before unlike Mom's. Hasn't been tampered with, although I wouldn't trust a rando either.

Is all this against the rules?

Pm me I guess
